Formula 40 Trimaran.

Some info from Mr Flynn.

"Next year Flynn hopes to race his new trimaran, the 40ft Agir (French for 'action') from Switzerland, which he calls a "mini-Vodafone". Rival Bob Fisher is planning to build a new boat too, meaning the 31st edition should provide even more "agir" to a regatta already overflowing with it. "

What happened to Bob's new boat then!! :D

After a celebrated career, Biscuits Cantreau was put out to graze, having been badly damaged in an accident in 2000.

Inspired, Eric Galmiche, who owned the shell, donated the hulls to the ‘Institution de Lavigny' a charity organisation engaged in rehabilitating children with special needs. The children, teenagers and collaborators of a group called Le Passerelle refitted the entire yacht. Having participated in the pedagogic work of rebuilding the yacht, the kids can now enjoy crewing together during regular outings on Lake Léman, Switzerland. The whole exercise has been rewarding in several aspects for teachers and students alike.

The VPLP trimaran now proudly sports the name ‘Agir pour la Vie” (Motivated for Life) and VPLP are honoured to have been able to help Mr Galmiche and his team by providing the original plans and designs needed for the reconstruction.

A true tale of Phoenix from the Ashes.

I had a walk around it on friday and for sure it will be a weapon, but sketchy in a bit of wind.

You have to wonder what the reasoning is behind the super long boards?? :? Not sure, but I cant wait to see it sailing :D
