idlerboat 116 Posted March 16, 2014 Share Posted March 16, 2014 Been playing with this for a while.......makes a nice temporary screen saver Menu in bottom left, you can use it for forecasts (scroll in with mouse thumb wheel to get a close up of interested area). It is quite accurate, but like all of these weather displays that are using the major world computer models, be warned ! They dont pick up local fronts and pressure troughs. The Australian BOM now has a system called "Met Eye". It is operational for marine waters of Vic and NSW. The graphical wind predictions are surprisingly accurate. We have used its forerunner to "surf" strong changes.... that is to stay just in front of a predicted detrimental wind change. Care needed but very useful. Link to post Share on other sites
