ab1974 1
Really just wanting to get a feel for whether this would fly. Would there be a market for an individual or a couple wanting to short term rent a large modern well appointed 14m catamaran? The catamaran would be in Bayswater (easy access to CBD via short ferry trip, excellent facilities) and the boat would NOT be available to be taken out of its marina berth. Thinking 1-4 weeks at a time over winter months. Would be looking to cover the $1,000 marina fee per month and $7.50 pp per day for the liveaboard supplement, so about $40 (individual) to $50 (couple) per day. Would make a great alternative to a hotel room!
Fusion 0
Try www.airbnb.co.nz they rent out stationary canal boats by the bunk.
ab1974 1
Good idea re listing the boat Do you think there would be demand for this type of accommodation and if so what do you think it would be worth per night?
BNG 44
Do you think your agreement with the marina permits renting liveaboards to 3rd parties? and...How would you feel if you had a floating backpackers parked next to your marina and pride and joy? Interesting idea, might be plagued with practicality/legals.
