Hi people,

A slightly different course this year due to the absence of Torpedo Buoy.

Also this year, we're running only two courses, a shorter 9nm course and an 11.6nm course for the quicker boats.

9.0nm:  From the start passing Northhead Buoy to port, rounding Rough Rock Buoy to starboard, Orakei Buoy to starboard to the finish.

11.6nm:  From the start passing Northhead Buoy to port, Saltworks Buoy to starboard, Orakei Buoy to starboard to the finish.

Both the start and finish lines are defined as a line from Westhaven tower to the outer distance mark (ODM).

Note that boats finishing to the north of ODM will be scored DNF.

Start times shall be signalled with number boards on the tower and we will endeavour to broadcast each start time on VHF ch77.  We expect to coordinate start times using GPS time so starting on your GPS time should work well.

Be aware people you are sailing under Collregs which do require a higher degree of caution while navigating in close proximity to other vessels.  It's also no ones idea of fun to have to repair collision damage with all that it can entail two days before Christmas.

At this stage, the weather looks superb with 12-15kts from the SSW so enjoy the evening and the Christmas break.

Any questions, please email me at mmulcare@xtra.co.nz or ph: 021 769 691

See you all tomorrow.

Great Job with the Music SD!! Thanks Again.

A pretty good event all told. Great Weather, 58 Boats over the start line, good party, and everyone well behaved! Over 240 sailors on the water (conservative estimate, at about 4 per boat, but some boats had 10 or more!), and the RYC clubrooms pretty full. :-)
