Kevin McCready 83
Happy to pay my increase.
Kevin McCready 83
Don't jump to sh*t conclusion. They may be using the word market differently. Cost recovery? Opportunity cost? What the market will bear?
S.M.U. 15
Good on him, a lot of us just roll over and pay the man without question.
Kevin McCready 83
I don't pay without question though . it's not "the man" . it's my council and I'm happy to pay reasonable price for waterfront public utility
grantmc 59
I pay $120 pa for a Wellington City Council dinghy locker right on the water's edge in Oriental Bay. The lockers are inside a locked boat shed.
Guest Ketchup
Buy a roof rack and put dingy on top.... give one finger to said thiefs!
Zozza 351
If the council had have spruced them up then fair enough, but looking at the video accompanying the article, they look like they haven't been maintained since Noahs Ark, therefore Fagan is absolutely correct to kick up a fuss. SthnJeff 18
I would hazard a guess the Council do not want them. They will continually ratchet up rents while letting them fall to bits until they need to be demolished.
ScottiE 174
That's exactly what will happen - anyone remember the Hobson Bay dinghy wharf - exactly!
Guest Ketchup
Even worse KM... I would not put it past them that the price rises are designed to drive the owners of swing/pile mooring boats away so as to build more "high income" marina berths. Imagine all the other areas the Council are ramping up prices to pay for Lens dream hobbies.
erice 732
len will be first against the sea-wall come the next election .......... the bigger question is will len brown lite, (cough goff) be elected or balance the check-book brewer?
funlovincriminal 218
A customer of mine just sent one of his boys in to ask me for a specification for painting dinghy storage lockers. They have just won the contract to tidy them all up, and maintain them, from Auckland North. So it seems at least some of the money is going to go back into them.
