smitty 4 Posted July 21, 2016 Share Posted July 21, 2016 Hi, I've got a new carbon spinnaker pole tube that I'd like to swap the fittings over from my old alloy one. Current one is about 400mm too short & is a bit battered. Problem is the inside diameter for new tube is about 5mm larger so the pole end fittings are too sloppy. I don't have time or skill/tools to build up the inside to the correct diameter. Can anyone suggest someone in Auckland who could do the work. My previous rigger has moved out of town. RushMan 31 Posted July 24, 2016 Share Posted July 24, 2016 Spinnaker pole acts in compression so load is where the end of the pole and the fitting. A fitter and turner should be able to shape something suitable using a lathe if you need a collar. Link to post Share on other sites
