spinnaker pole conversion

Hi, I've got a new carbon spinnaker pole tube that I'd like to swap the fittings over from my old alloy one.  Current one is about 400mm too short & is a bit battered.  Problem is the inside diameter for new tube is about 5mm larger so the pole end fittings are too sloppy.  I don't have time or skill/tools to build up the inside to the correct diameter.  Can anyone suggest someone in Auckland who could do the work.  My previous rigger has moved out of town.

Cheers

Graham

Yeah that's a good idea I hadn't considered, but the flange is quite narrow & doesn't really sit on the end of the new tube. Worried there'do be all the load on the rivets.

Spinnaker pole acts in compression so load is where the end of the pole and the fitting.

A fitter and turner should be able to shape something suitable using a lathe if you need a collar.
