Research has shown that Dolphins can actually Talk. To another Dolphin that is. An actual real communication apparently.
The new insight into dolphin communication was led by lead researcher Dr Vyacheslav Ryabov who studied two dolphins named Yasha and Yana.
He says,

“This language exhibits all the design features present in the human spoken language, this indicates a high level of intelligence and consciousness in dolphins, and their language can be ostensibly considered a highly developed spoken language, akin to the human language.”

Well, Teenagers have a rather unique way of communicating with more senior humans - by means of grunts, shrugs and grumpy looks.

supposedly an important breakthrough was better hydrophones that have finally allowed listeners to work out which dolphin was "talking" at any given time

 

this in turn led to the realisation that they weren't interrupting each, like barking dogs, squawking seagulls or politicians

 

 the dolphins took turns in producing pulse packs and did not interrupt each other, which gives reason to believe that each of the dolphins listened to the other's NPs before producing its own.

Someone should make a TV show about it. get a kid and a dog , or a dolphin, and then the dog/phin could run and fetch people with meaningful glances , body language and  whines and chirps, and they could go off together to rescue the good guy/ catch the bad guy.
