Beccara 25
Hi All, Been trying to get a good understanding of weather windows for coastal day sails around Northland, All of my Met experiences is from commercial aviation so I'm rather light on seas and swell's Reading around and there's almost nothing on coastal windowing, All seems to be rules of thumb for ocean crossings. Anyone got some tips/rules of thumb for NZ coastal or any general advice really?
ex TL systems 63
I just look at metvuw and windyty 10 day forecasts or listen to marine radio 3 day outlook, last time I checked looked like all westerly which is good to get out to the Barrier but its nice to get something from North or East to come back on rather than bash back into strong SW. Freedom GBE 27
Stop over in Tutukaka or Whangaruru. There is a great spot to park up almost on the beach in Tutukaka for a cat.
