Prawn 0
Hi there Has anyone had experience using this? Advised it's good for leaking windows and hairline cracks on deck by stanchion attachment. Are these just temporary fixes? And what if you then want to do a permanent fix, is this stuff easily removable or will it 'glue' things together?
Island Time 1,211
Do you mean this stuff http://www.captaintolley.com/ It does both seal and bond, but if the crack is growing, it likely wont fix it....
Prawn 0
Same name but with blue writing/logo. Maybe that's the new look.
ballystick 72
I have tried it on leaking windows, it does seem to creep in to the small gaps ok but didn't seal it. It appears to be a watered down PVA glue type of substance. It wasn't satisfactory as far as curing the small cracks for me.
Guest 000
I used it on an aluminium hatch fastening deck leak, construction glass over ply. It stopped the leak and was meant to be a temporary fix. It never leaked again and I forgot about it. So yes, it worked for me.
Prawn 0
Thx guys. Seems like the standard thing to try and no one is concerned about fittings eg window being difficult to remove at a future date when you're ready to reseal them.
