For last 24 hours, been AVERAGING 30.2knots. has done 725nm. Alone. Legend

raz88 97
Yeah he's been going well. Appears to have slowed right at the moment, looks to be doing 11 knots. Had a bigger lead a few days ago but is only 290 miles ahead of sodebo's pace now and that looks yo be eroding. Here's hoping he gets conditions that allow him to pick up the pace again shortly. raz88 97
Hauling now. Last 4 hours average 37 knots. Lead over the reference time on its way back up rapidly...
Clipper 363
45min sleep in last 24 hours. Not surprised at that pace, averaging 30.4 for last 24 hours?
raz88 97
And he's just busted out a new 24hr record. not sure what the final figure will be but I saw 818 miles. Awesome!

Clipper 363
840.5nm in last 24. Keeps on rising. For reference, the fully crewed 24 hour record is 907.9 (Banque Populaire V in 2009) The previous solo 24 hour record appears to be 628nm (Thomas Colville, Sodebo 2008) according to wikipedia

raz88 97
I've been viewing the link clipper posted, on my phone, and when the page first loads there is an "English" button that pops up straight away
muzled 140
Looks like he's had some reasonably unfavourable winds the last few days, down to a 'meagre' 500 or so miles/day and currently heading south, a long long way south...
MartinRF 64
He is passing south of NZ now. Some 600 nautical miles to the south doing a mere 33 knots. He left France only three weeks ago! /Martin
Island Time 1,286
That's incredible. Respect for that man!!
MartinRF 64
And to the engineers who designed the boat and to the people who built it. He is now sailing into the western hemisphere doing 38 knots. That is pretty close to the top speed of the vessel I did my military service on and we had three gas turbines powering us along. Cold war stuff for the Baltic Sea. /Martin
muzled 140
over 7hrs sleep last night, that must feel like going to bed at 8pm and waking up at 10am for him.
Fish 0
Anyone got a link that works, every time I've tried googling this I get websites that don't load or do random stuff (and that is before I try translating them...)
muzled 140
this is the one I've got, takes a while to load using Chrome then translates, then fluffs around a bit longer and sometimes takes 3-4 goes and may or may not work on odd or even days depending how it feels. Apparently building a website isn't an exact science for the French... http://www.macifcourseaularge.com/cartographie/
