Danaide 19 years ( 1991 Launched)

Jon; 49

Paddy; 63 (I think)

The only reason for the (I think) is he maybe older just he has a policy of not counting birthdays if your in the open ocean, said that they don't count and I have been with him on 3 such occasions.

But he was 60 at the last RNI I think

See my original post in "Rums Arrived 4:30pm 13SEP2010

Solution: Start it here on Crew and ages to be submitted before race as a trial. Proof would be required e.g. scanned drivers licences & YNZ would have most boats ages somewhere.

(That's scanned and UNALTERED drivers licences of, in now particular order, R830, R930, Hotrods, Y88, multi etc owners & crews )

0.911 Suburban Reptile

0.765 Hot Shot (Calculated for interest sake, will be deleted.)

Please note that as extra boats are added, the Average Mid point value alters and consequently individual handicaps alter.

So the above values WILL knot be the final ones used if and when more boats enter.

Yep rhubarb was launched about 1973-74, we got saracen around then, sailed her for a season and did ok. Then rhubarb came along, thrashed everyone in our division.

Damn, wish it was like that now. Maybe I should paint the boat purple and get a little yellow dinghy

Now where did I see that video of you mowing down a certain Ross 40 (which was by no means going slow either) in the Coastal last year? 8)

Never mind, it will be lower next year.

Hey Squidy,

How about doing it for the Clearwater Cove YC HIS'N HERS race to the "bottom end" Labour Weekend? Then we could be in.

NIMBLE 30yrs

HEATHER 77

JOHN 79

Just joking, or maybe skiting.

Definately but what an Old Farts Factor handicap:

The lowest yet, if you were to race, cruising division, furling sails . . .

a definate contender for the Mt Gay . . .

0.664 Nimble

But then again, with this forecast, enough experience to stay indoors

Isn't the age correction factor backwards?

Time and time again the old farts here bang on that experience counts for much more than youth, yet here you're giving the oldies a crutch. According to the goings on here, the oldies should have a higher handicap, not a lower one

Lack of speed and agility are the handicapping factors.

Our knees and arms are knot as young as they once were. Oh did I mention my sore back, bad ever sight, loss of hearing, slowing reaction times.

So I vote for aging have a lower handicap.

Let you youths live on the higher side . . . .
