'Power Shine'

Recommended Posts

Some may know Gordon and Koru II, currently on the hard near us and a years worth of yellow stain on the topsides. Having our coffees in the cockpit, was watching him cleaning the topsides and the gunk was just wiping off! No scrubbing etc, off it came. It looked so good you might think he had just repainted! So what is this amazing sh1t? Well, its called 'power shine' and we tracked it down to Orica in Mt Maunganui who sells it in 200lt containers..200lts!? Its a phosphoric acid based cleaner, anyone know of an alternative (less than 200 litres!)???

Use Oxalic acid. Does the same thing, really easy. Its whats the active ingredient in many of the stainless polishes. Buy a 1 kg bag from bunnings in powder form, use a teaspoon of the powder in 500 mls of water. Spray on, or wipe on with damp cloth, wash off with water after 10 mins.
