No not what I was meaning at all. 

I think I see the problem. We are both talking the same thing, I think. I had taken your original comment to mean "the conversion of a mechanical force to electrical force". Which is not technically correct. What I failed to understand (I think) was that you meant the production of an electrical current from a non electrical source. It does not have to be mechanical as such. For instance, it could be a Solar panel. But it also can simply be energy flowing in a circuit, which is where I believe Luigi is coming from and as I am from an electronics background, it is where I am coming from.
