Deep Purple 529
Charmonet back in Westhaven. Thank good for the tracker because the Squadron efforts on this race is woeful. The dedicated Facebook page had a flurry of activity in July last year promoting boats that aren't sailing and nothing since November. The race webpage does nothing but direct you to the Facebook page for updates A sad indication of both the state of offshore NZ keelboat racing and the biggest club in NZ's inability to promote their biggest race in years. No wonder the cups gone to Spain 1 1
Deep Purple 529
Have all the good people at Squadron left? Like the Auckland Regatta shambles, a yacht club that has turned its back on sailing.
Shimmer 43
Shows just what a good job SSANZ does, if this was a SSANZ race we would know all the stories and the race would have a much higher profile. Bet you it would be different if A Young and his buddies had their harbour racers in the race. Any one know the stories behind the retirement of V5 Vixen or Charmonet?
Deep Purple 529
I saw vixen turn around at the same time as they posted on their page that they had left the gulf. Asked if they were okay but no response and still nothing on their page 11 hours later

Yes live sail die would’ve been all over it with nice photos of the big budget boats
Psyche 728
Have I got it right that Mr Aitkin is doing it 2 handed? Good news for all those members keen on shorthanded sailing.

CarpeDiem 510
Reasons given V5 - Engine trouble Charmonet - Loose rudder bearings Rum Bucket - Equipment Failure Legacy - Broken Backstay Vixen - No reason given Romanza - DNS DANG! On the leaderboard, the PHRF and PHS numbers are totally wrong - there is no way Wired has a PHRF o9f 0.896 or Mr Kite a PHRF of 0.713...
Adrianp 124
A west coast SW swell of 3m/10sec combined with a E 2m/8sec swell is not going to be nice at all. From Predict Wind:

Adrianp 124
Also the YB tracker info is available on the Predict Wind app if you have that. It's under Tools > YB Events and then you add the race in the banner
