Bogan 8
Some discussion amongst the 1020s on replacing foredeck hatches. Seems like they're all coming due about the same time. Simplest looks to be replacing the Weaver with the equivalent size Maxwell. (Which is just an update of the Weaver). One suggested alternative is a Lewmar "medium profile". These look pretty nice. Anyone got one on their boat and can comment on their performance when submarining?
wheels 543
Is it just the glass or is the entire hatch worn out. You can easily replace the Glass.
Bogan 8
The acrylic, the seals, the catches... and the hinges. And the new ones have a better catch arrangement.
Fogg 427
Just replaced 3 weavers with 3 new maxwells. Ready fit as opposed to lewmars not quite the same size. The cost of replacing glass and seals was so close to the cost of a new hatch it wasn't worth dicking around. Haven't had the weavers long enough to comment on submarine capabilites but so far so good.
