Thalia 0
A qualified up-to-date skipper is required to be present on a 7 - 10 day (negotiable) fishing trip departing from Tauranga over the summer period. Ideally, the keen fishermen would like the trip to occur from around 29th December - 7th January, but that's negotiable. The skipper won't have to do too much, it's really about having a certificate on board. There's a chef on board, you're welcome to fish too. The pay is typically $300 per day, but rates may be negotiated for the right person. The owner of the 65FT may offer a lot more work for the right skipper.
Island Time 1,016
I'm not saying you wont find anyone, but you might like to consider a couple of issues. You need to state where you wish to go (for example a SRL <24m NZ ticket is restricted to 12nm off the coast). A coastal ticket (200NM) is worth more per day, Offshore master is more again. The pay rate offered is low, and at peak holiday period. Just for your info, my last job as skipper was $500 AUD/day. Which particular min ticket is required?
