Auckland to Wellington

I have done twice via the east coast in a catamaran. We stopped at both Gisborne and Napier. Then continuously with hour on, 2 off watches to Wellington (3 of us).

We waited in Napier for at least two days of favourable forecast, then went for it. We motored whenever our speed dropped below 5knots.

Below. Us in Gisborne, and friendly locals escort us out of Hawke Bay. They stayed with us for over 2 hours.

thank you all very much,
it took me 5 days to get to weellington, a stopover in napier for one night, the whole trip was perfect.
only 35 miles before arriving at castle point I had a 3 meter wave and 40 knots of wind,
I arrived at castle point at 6 in the morning and hid there for 2 hours until it calmed down a bit,
then straight to pallisier cape and cook strait, and make it to wellington just 3 hours before strong south wind.
thank you all for your time and help.
