B00B00 310
So i met these really random dudes last week off the boat in the viaduct called 'Berserk'. I guess the best way to discribe them was like the dudesons on a boat. some of you might have seen the boat down there, an interesting boat with obviously some good storys to go with it. I first saw them loading some quad bikes onto the deck and some other pretty serious equipment. I was intrigued as to what they were up to. Anyway I ended up helping them out with some sail stuff and heard some classic storys..... They are following Amundsen's travels and have just done the north west passage and with it a record for taking a boat the furtherest North, they also all got arrested in Canada as they got denied entry but went there anyway or something like that. Now they are headding down to antarctica and trying to get to the south pole- hence the quad bikes with skimobile tracks on them. A really classic bunch of good dudes having a great time. Check out their website for some good entertainment http://www.wildvikings.com/index.php Here are some videos of what they are up to. http://www.youtube.com/user/WildVikings2007 http://www.youtube.com/user/WildVikings ... kFrx4tD0C8
wheels 543
I hope they have permision to do that too. I don'tthink you can just turn up down there. What nationality are they? That's a pretty serious offence illegally entering a Country. It's a wonder they didn't lose their boat and equipment. And I find it hard to believe that they have set a record for Furtherest North. I thought boats had gone all the way to the Pole??
ex Elly 197
The film "Beserk in the Antarctic" is a good watch. I saw it on the documentary channel, but you can probably download it. Crazy 19 year old Norwegian guy singlehanded a small yacht (27ft) to South America. Picked up a backpacker and headed for Antartictica. The backpacker mutinied, and they had to transfer him to a cruise liner.
