Ed 146
Reaching strut, it’s for improving the angle to the spinnaker guy when you are tight reaching with the pole almost on the forestay. You rig it usually somewhere inline with the shrouds/ mast straight out the side of the boat, pushing the guy a bit further outboard and significantly reduceing the load on it
Vivaldi 55
The jib clew is for attaching to the self tracker track (which doesn’t appear to be on the boat anymore). The curve with different holes allows is where it would chuckle to the sheet on the self tracker and dependant on which hole you chose gives you different trim for the jib - same as moving you jib cars forward or aft on a conventional set up. There should be a round fitting on the front and a pad eye approx 1/3 the length back on the foredeck. Looks like it has a bobstay with a purchase system to tighten See https://www.seldenmast.com/products/gennaker-bowsprits/

Found the quote Mint thank you. Aha, Okay, so do you think we can we still use this sail or is it a bit hopeless without the track geometry? Are you guys sailing your lovely boat this Christmas? Yeah you could use it on a conventional set up - just use the middle hole and adjust the jib cars as per normal. You’ll need to be careful with it flapping during tacks though. That chunk of aluminium could hurt stuff. and yes we’ll be up on Boxing Day to head out for a cruise.

Yeah that Aluminium is a big heavy peice to be clunking around. Presumably a sail maker could remove that and make it a standard style?
