Attack by Orca/whale?

I just read the delivery trip of Pork Chop (Elliot 10.5) which has gone from Tauranga to Wellingtton. 

There's a photo of tooth marks and teeth on the bow as evidence of an Orca bite.

Addem, might want to tell them to go easy on their first race, last time she was down there they broke the rig on the first outing back in 90s I believe

I think they'll be cautious. They started the trip with 2 reefs and no4 which I'd never used.

Back in the 80s I arrived in Alaska with a perfect semicircle of teeth marks in the hydrovane rudder. . False killer whales had followed us for half a day and took turns swimming up to the rudder and making the boat veer off course.  I figured they were just playing

BP - write a book.  I would buy it.  I think your life in sailing / cruising, would be an enjoyable read.
You can self publish these days quite easily.

The more left field or nuttier the author, the more interesting the book
