aardvarkash10 1,103
Can anyone comment on the viability of tying up to pick up at Maraetai to passengers? We draw 1.7m

We draw 1.7m Checked with my cuz who you have met, he says the wharf piles are just wet at low tide, so I would expect between 3/4 and full tide you would have sufficient depth. Tide tables do not give heights for Maraetai, Matiatia and Man O War bay both showing a difference of ~2.5m between low and high on current big tides.
Young Entertainer 62
there wont be a lot of water there from 3/4 onwards, plus the wharf is pretty rough to tie up to, you could anchor in the bay and dinghy into the boat club breakwater, use the pontoons to load into the dinghy. in a dinghy you should be good most of the tide

Bad Kitty 318
Picking people up anywhere down there is tricky at low tide, Pine Harbour is the last place that's really all tide access. Maraetai Boating Club is nearly dry at low. We've had to do it for work often & it's a real drag. Usually just use Pine Harbour
harrytom 697
Maybe the old ammunition wharf just south of Maraetai, parking be a issue.
aardvarkash10 1,103
We ended up beach landing for pickup and on the pontoons returning Beach landing tested my surf IRB skills and found them wanting.
