Leftred 49
I didn't know him personally, but definitely the best sailing commentator I ever heard. He always reminded me of Jeremy Coney, and had the same quick wit, easy manner, and mix of technically accurate but engaging style. Sad to hear. Also worth remembering he had an impressive sailing career, with the 1987 Admiral's cup victory well documented in the YNZ podcast with him as a guest. I imagine it's fair to say that victory sits alongside the 1969 One Ton Cup, the '89-'90 Whitbread, and the '95 America's Cup as one of NZ sailing's greatest moments?
