syohana 39
This system has seen very little use and is generally in great condition. It is sea water cooled and runs on a 230 volt supply. Selling due to switching to a 48v DC system to run directly off solar. At 16000 BTU it is powerful, we used it to cool a 50ft catamaran in the tropics and it worked well. The control panel/status display and the sea water pump are included. Hoses and cable to connect the sea water pump are not included. Air ducts are not included. There are a couple of issues probably due to it being used so little: It was working well but it has gradually lost cooling effect so it probably needs a regas. It would be a good idea to have the seals replaced at the same time so the gas doesn't escape again. The valve which selects between cooling and heating is stuck in the cooling position so it only functions as air conditioning not as a heat pump. It should be easy enough to free up before regassing - it would be hard to work on it with gas in the system so I have not tried. There's a little surface corrosion in the drip tray underneath but not serious. Internally it has usually had the sea water flushed out with fresh water before storage so it should be in good order. The system is self contained as a single unit (apart from the sea water pump which should be located below the waterline). That means you can take it to an aircon specialist and they can do the seals and regas in their workshop, you can then take it to your boat and install it with the gas already in it so there is no need to have it gassed on site after installation. This is a very high quality unit made in the USA. Priced to sell quick as I need to make space for the new DC unit before summer.
