Quattro 17
I've booked a lift and clean and want to be ready to change the yanmar 30 sail drive anode at the same time, if I can. It's a new boat to me, and I haven't had a sail drive before, so any heads up us good. 1. Is changing the anode straightforward, ie like doing a shaft anode? 2. Anyone had a problem doing thus during a lift and clean? 3. Is it straightforward with a spanner? Allan key? Any idea on size of bolts? Metric i assume? Any nothing fancy like needing a 90degree or bendy drive? Really appreciate any knowledge you can impart, so I don't get stuck on a tight turnaround.
Vivaldi 62
If it’s the same as the SD20 then it could be one of two options. If it’s had a split anode kit fitted then it’s just two allen key type screws holding the anode(S) in place. It it doesn’t have the split anode kit then you need to take the prop off, then undo the two allen screws, and then slide the ring off.
Quattro 17
Cheers Vivaldi. I'm pretty sure it's the two piece kit, and is same as the 20hp drive. So, Allen keys, not bolts. Fingers crossed its an easy mission
Black Panther 1,816
Biggest problem at gulf harbour is they wanted to charge for an extra hour in the hoist to do a 2 minute job.

Quattro 17
Think HMB is pretty on to it, customer wise, and happy to give you 5 to do this job.
Adrianp 138
This is a good place to get the anodes. Don't forget to change the internal anode for the saildrive too while you are out of the water. Its a big nut on the side of the saildrive that you access from inside the boat. https://chalmersmarine.co.nz/
