Island Time 1,347
Its certainly a project Richard has for himself - almost a new build - raise the gunnels, new deck, cabin, add a pilothouse, new interior etc etc. The advantages of being a a pro boat builder I guess. She will be, like most of Richard's work, a work of art I'm sure!

The big T 47
Many a race on Kiwi back in the day - a great boat. One of my great memories is Auckland to Tauranga, Mhead Kite up on port gybe rushing towards Cuvier in 25 knots, procrastinating over the gybe for about an hour. Pitch black after midnight, Finally did it - no issues. Led home Pretty Boy Floyd, Time to burn and was first 40 foot or under boat home. Kiwi had a removable nose for rating purposes! Held record for years. Sad to see it go as it was in one sense but good to see a rebirth.
