Black Panther 1,822
Any reason not to replace the line fromt the wheel to the ram with a flexible hose? Currently copper tube. Positives, I can do it myself with minimum hassle. Replacing with copper probably means outside assistance. Negatives. Would it degrade the sensitivity of the steering? Enough to worry about? Cost? LBD 222
Use proper nylon tube like the stuff you can buy from ultraflex or a major hydraulic manufacturer. The aim is for minimal elasticity to stop the steering feeling spongy, there are also hydraulic hoses that do fit the bill but tend to me more expensive. But if you do change to Hose or tube, make sure it is well protected from chaff. Me, given a choice would use stainless tube with hoses at the ram end.
