Notice 36-11 Auckland Harbour Bridge temporary scaffolding and maintenance work

Temporary scaffolding will be in place under the bridge in the main navigation span until 28 June 2011. The position of the scaffolding will change as maintenance progresses. The scaffolding is 10.5m wide and will hang 1.5m below the underside of the bridge.

Maintenance work is being undertaken on the bridge between the hours of 07:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday. The maintenance work includes shot blasting and painting. The possibility of falling debris means mariners should not pass directly under the location of any maintenance work. The gantry and scaffolding from which work will be undertaken is clearly visible. All mariners are advised to navigate with caution while transiting under the Auckland Harbour Bridge.
