bene_sails 0
am i understanding that it reacts to the real wind? so you would sit it out on the carpark/boatpark and teach kids to sail on it? cool idea. one thing that could realy save time is have an 'in irons' feature. how frustrating is it when you are in a chase boat with a kid in irons freaking out that they cant get out nomatter which way they push or pull the tiller even though your yelling to leave it on one side... realy dont know how this could work. the steering would have to be mechanicaly controlled anyway? in sure it could be build in... Guest
how frustrating is it when you are in a chase boat with a kid in irons freaking out that they cant get out nomatter which way they push or pull the tiller even though your yelling to leave it on one side... Tell them to leave the tiller in the middle. 9 out of 10 times if you tell them to push it hard one way, it'll be the direction that gets them nicely 'Hove too'. See it happen every week with the newbies. Pushing hard one side or the other is more for those with some clues already. Hold it in the middle and the boat will swing one way or the other and even a green newbie will quickly figure out what to do next. But a good suggestion indeed. Newbies getting stuck in irons and then getting well confused as to what's happen and what to do next is probably one of their 1st biggest hurdles. That's after realising they aren't going to be eaten by sharks or dissolve if they get wet.
