Oil spots float up to the surface there continuously, be pretty interesting to know how much is still in there?

Keith Gordon, the ROV operator in that story has raised it with MNZ, but I bet you $10 nothing happens till a great big slick hits the coast somewhere!

Think your money is safe, BK. From what I can see, the efforts of those such as Keith Gordon have resulted in adequate awareness of the risk at official levels but, as seems to be the case with all kinds of governments, there is a reluctance to allocate today's budget to what - if you blur your eyes just a bit - you can just about fool yourself is tomorrow's problem.

 

Or said another way, how many votes could you expect to win by making something that most people have never seen, disappear?

4000tonnes, say 2000 remain, at US$700/tonne that is US$1.4million worth of bunkers. No idea if it would be any good after all these years
