Ross 930 winter series

It was a good testing course too. Start, Bayswater, Orakei, North Head, Resolution, Torpedo,ODM,Bayswater, Finish at ODM. Wind angle was such that with a bit of imagination you could fly every xtra you had on the boat. The forward crew worked very hard with the ups and downs and repacks. Sometimes I think we have too much choice!

Everyone I have talked with says that the Ponsonby courses are well thought out and produce interesting racing.

The rainy weather must have persuaded a few of the 930 fleet to stay on the dock, with 8 starters we were missing 4 or 5 from previous races.

Gotta agree with you AFU, this year's PCC courses are really well thought out. Keeps the whole crew involved throughout the race. Our bowman might disagree, but we stopped listening to him years ago.

She was on the Boat Haulage trailer this morning.

Very grazed keel, bulb, starboard topside.

Big puncture aft quarter, deck hull join split for about 1m.

Stanchions still all there. Rig still up.

No photos - too depressing.

It will be interesting to hear the assessors opinion. - Alan R, keep an eye on this....

No Worries got line by 8min over Local Hero and the another min or so back to Ballistic and the Fast Company.

Handicap also went to No Worries.

That resulted in No Worries taking Line and Handicap for the series!!

Pretty stoked :D

Not entirely sure, (I'm just the bowman in the crewed races) But Ian told me that they shredded the fractional genniker, and that was the ideal sail to use. I think they were both just a bit tired and that was the last straw, so they pulled the pin and motored home.

Checked entries at the Pons this afternoon. 5 Entered so far, No Wurries, Local Hero, Wild Oats, Ballistic, Pepe.

The first race is next Sunday 19 May so looking forward to watching the rest of the entries roll in. The lady at Pons told me they want at least 6 entries to give us our own start. So come on the rest of you put your entries in.

The Entertainer is in and now I think we have 7 or 8. If everyone turns up we could have 14 or 15. But Hotdogger will not make this weekend by the sounds of it.

Get those entries in boys, this has been the best supported event in the calendar recently

Elbow will be a long shot I'd think.

An official offer has been made on Bondi, which is subject to survey I believe. The offerer is a good lad so I'd expect that should it all go thru we'll see her back in the Waitamata fleet.
