I heard a rumor this morning that moose (mike sanderson) is no longer with team origin?

Anyone else heard that or got a more detailed report?

Currently in the hospital awaiting the birth of baby #2 which (is now 5 days late so) unable to surf the net for other information (posting from my phone).

Origin must be just devastated with the performance of their new TP52.

They got passed by 8 boats on the downwind leg of the Coastal race

I think they finished 5th or so overall.

Maybe Mooses shove has something to do with poor performances ?

Yeh right, cause he designed the boat! One downwind leg and the boat is a pig! Do you forget that the boat was leading the regatta until the second to last day?

It will be something much more fundamental than the performance of a new boat in its first regatta.

I am picking a clash of management philosophy, or........................money. Surely not money.

Start a sweepstake on how many hours or days until someone else signs him up. He is not only a bloody good yachty but has the comprehensive range of leadership skills which are exceedingly rare. A decision they will have the opportunity to regret for years and years, meanwhile someone else's gain.

Couldn't agree more Murky.

Hope he isn't going to Alinghi, but if he does, let's hope he's paid at least enough to start a couple of Swiss banks of his own.

Obviously the winglets where just to slow for the downhill slide.
