Bimini Babe 0
Seasoned string-puller and rum-pourer available for yachtie goodness this afternoon if anyone's got a spot? I'm getting withdrawals from being off the boat - week and a half and counting...
Bimini Babe 0
AND I'm in Auckland too. Doh.
John B 106
Bb, I don't think you're allowed to go sailing until you've written up your trip and posted it here for all of us poor stayathomes to read.
Megwyn 2
Fair comment But - if BB is in serious withdrawals, then a good sail might be enough to release the bard within.
John B 106
Maybe some crumbs then, tossed to the people coming out of an Auckland not summer. Good trip up? where'd you go? hit anything? get fish?
Bimini Babe 0
Okay okay... To whet your appetites... Here's my diary from the passage up to Tonga. Comments welcome, but only if they're nice. SalaDays - passage to Tonga.doc
John B 106
Very nice thanks bb. You write very well , are you planning a book? And what design is Sala?
Megwyn 2
So far loving it BB - just had to comment: So now we can safely assume that there has been no apocalypse in our absence, and civilisation does still exist. Amazing feeling huh?
John B 106
I liked the bit about the schedule going 'out the sodding window' referring to arriving after dark. We made Levuka at night earlier this year as our entry port to Fiji .( I was just a delivery helper )
Megwyn 2
Awesome reading. And thanks for letting us read it before you have properly edited it. Love it - can't wait for more. M
Bimini Babe 0
Very nice thanks bb. You write very well , are you planning a book? And what design is Sala? Planning a book... but not about this trip. Sala is a Guy Thomson-designed IOR half-tonner. One-off as far as I know. JOG boat, stable as hell, even though she's only 29'.
