Guest
Who can help Dear David, I am Victor from china. I came to Auckland, the city of sails, to learn sailing from the best! As a new crew member of Richmond Yacht Club, I heard this race from Glen and found myself are very interested. Could you please help me find a crew position? Literally, I wouldn't miss it for the world! I am strong, well-equipped, never seasick, and able to understand the instructions in English, hereafter listed my sailing experiences for your reference: 1. Two times in Qingdao, china; 2. Two times on "Ted Ashby", a scow of Voyager Maritime Museum; 3. Eight times as an tour guide and crew assistant onboard the fleet of "Pride of Auckland" ; 4. Last Friday, as a crew onboard "Gambier" which skippered by Colin Hunt, a race belongs to "Victoria Friday Night Special". Thanks very much! PM me and I'll pass it on

markm 30
Hi people, 51 entries to date First, must stress the below is indicative only, a final decision on courses and start times will be taken tomorrow evening and all entered notified by email. We're looking at a couple of changes this year. First, we'll run three courses instead of last years two. Weather cooperating, the short course will be 7nm, the mid course 8.6 and the longer course 11.7 Second, Because we're thinking of sending boats under the bridge, instead of a finish line being a transit from the tower through ODM to the northern side of the harbour, it will be from the tower to Westhaven (ODM) Buoy. Indicative times for boats entered to date are as follows : Small boat course : 17:45 Cherry-oh 18:00 Wishbone 18:02 Cesar's Palace Middle course : 17:51 Kimberley II 17:55 Infiltrator 17:57 Cordite 18:01 Takahoa 18:02 Hot Gossip 18:03 Pacquita 18:04 Panacea 18:05 perfect alibi 18:05 The Entertainer 18:06 Flitzer 3 18:06 pelagian 2 18:07 Ballistic 18:07 Kia Kaha 18:07 Oracle 18:07 Hullabaloo 18:08 Tri Hard 18:08 Banana Split 18:09 Drop Dead Fred 18:09 AZURE 18:10 Elliphunk 18:10 Duty Free 18:11 Grunt Machine 18:11 Fast Company Long course : 17:45 THOR 17:45 Bizzarre 17:46 Transformer 17:48 Atomic 17:48 Itchy Feet 17:48 Pork Chop 17:49 Valium 17:50 Fineline 17:51 Boogie Flash 17:52 Pretty Woman 17:53 Notorious 17:54 Urban Cowboy 17:54 Moody Blue IV 17:55 Force Eleven 17:56 Outrageous Fortune 18:00 Mojo 18:01 Power Play 18:03 Crusader 35 18:07 Icebreaker 18:14 Attitude 18:18 Dirty Deeds 18:21 TimberWolf 18:28 Ninja 18:34 XL 18:40 Team vodafone Sailing

all fired up 6
I wonder if this a slightly technical question, but... How can we synchronize our sailing watches with the starters time keeping? Or don't we worry too much and just have another rum? a.f.u
Guest
Or don't we worry too much and just have another rum? a.f.u That allways works
Guest
Last year we ran the timing off Grinnas GPS, if we do that this year, in theory your GPS will have the same time.
all fired up 6
Our Gin Pouring Sheila doesn't have one. And we are converting her to rum for the sail so things are already beginning to look pretty shaky. If we park beside Grinna could he shout the numbers out? Just had a flash.....perhaps he could shout a series of times through the VHF through the channelXX. a.f.u
