We have set up tracking with the PredictWind race tracker for the 2014 Route 66.

Annnnd, the top boat on PHRF that tracks their race will be in to win a 1 Year Predict Wind professional subscription worth NZ$499!

For details visit the FAQ at the R66 page:

http://richmondyc.org.nz/racing/info/ro ... stal-race/

Change "PHRF" to "handicap", oops! We don't require PHRF for the R66...

And change "will be in to" to "will" - how's that for motivation?

Took a look there yesterday. There's not a huge amount there so would be better to provision before you go. It does have the really important stuff like a liquor shop and a café/bar right next to the marina but food would be advised to bring IMO.

Very limited in terms of provisions.

Two years ago we stayed until Sunday, trip into town for provisions via car did the trick.

Last year arrived, party, fall over/into bunk, breakfast and then sail back, food already on board so no need to buy locally.

Big Tip.... Take your RUM with you, the bottle shop will not be open when you arrive after dark!

Can I get petrol there?

Just spotted that the entries on the route66 page have been updated...great to see more entries! Might have to visit Marsden cove again, be nice to see it full of people and boats! Looking forward to following the race on the tracker...hope most if not all of the entrants have it on, its a great way to follow the race for those of us unable to do it ourselves.

Y88 "War Machine" is in and probably fighting this one single handed, however with current forecast might not be a bad thing.

To any other Y88 fence sitters out there that gives us "four boats of identical design" and RYC will run some results for us.

So its the short handed 88's versus the single handed.

In case you haven't been around Narrowneck buoy lately (the course 2 start at 11.30hrs) you can find it at this link http://www.aucklandcouncil.govt.nz/EN/l ... itions.pdf

Game on!
