On a normal year most boats would have been in well before 3pm. This year 16 finished before 1500, and 21 finished after that. If the finish boat could have stayed there for another hour or two, then most of those boats would have got proper finish times.

I would call it an 'Event' rather than having to define it as either a race or a party. People do these 'events' for many different reasons but in all cases its for a weekend enjoying doing what you love. When you go cruising is it about the passage or the destination, the social times catching up with friends or the solitude of ancoring in a quiet bay away from the city? I know several of the people involved in this Auckland cluster. Covid test results in 30 hours. People have got slack in level 1. Every business is still required to display a code. Even though I work from home, I have one on The front door. That has given me a 3rd level casual contact with this cluster. The mutual customer of mine and the company that the electrician works for is in quarantine. I did not have to unless he tested positive or developed symptoms. He has not, and has tested negative.
