Use a single line off the bow. The longer the better. This allows many more dinghies in what may be a limited space. Do not side tie your 16ft tinnie then padlock in place. If there is a cleat a single loop over it is sufficient. Make the loop big enough that the next arrival can thread theirs inside yours and over the cleat, allowing both parties to depart without disturbing the other line.1 point
