  1. Just throwing this out there really, if it is of interest then message me and I will be in touch. We have a Young 11 that i am not using using dues to kid commitments and that is likely to continue for the next 4-5yeats so offering up the use of it if you want to pay the marina costs plus some of the maintenance, think a fixed amount of 1k a month with no money upfront. (just need to work out the insurance requirements) This would cover everything such as marina, insurance, antifouling, servicing etc which i will take care of, and allow you usage of the boat when ever you like,

  4. Yeah Elliot, He always was up for a good laugh. The two Commodore computer escorts rally cars were pretty cool. I remember we used to set up a track on the farm in cowcop and have a ball with anything that had a motor and a steering wheel. Good times. Yeah but watching that doco certainly hit home. Cheers mate Steve

  5. It may interest the younger folk and amuse the older folk that we have just passed the 45th anniversary of the introduction of Marine VHF radio in New Zealand. The New Zealand Post Office - which is those days administered all things radio, including licences and examinations, introduced the service in April 1976. Initially coverage was provided for Auckland and the Hauraki Gulf via Auckland Radio ZLD (with transmitters at Musick Point, Motutapu and on the Coromandel), Wellington and Mana/Cook Strait via Wellington Radio ZLW, and in Tauranga via the Tauranga Harbour Board.
