  1. Need a crew member to fly to Cabo in Mexico ASAP (flights / Covid test will be paid) ex Auckland to being a 6yo Helia 44 Catamaran back to NZ Stopping in Nuku Hiva to re-provision. Significant experience not required. Just need to be confident you can cope with the big Blue and shifts. Crew member puled out last minute as they decided the big blue was not for them. Will pay $6000 lump sum on return and all food etc.. will be paid for

  2. Provincial Cowboy is a well known Ross 40 design yacht based in Auckland, New Zealand. The 'Mk 1' Ross 40 is a design that's part of the folklore of the NZ sailing scene of the 80's and 90's. We have lost count of the number of people who stopped by to reminisce about racing they did on PC or her sisterships. The hull and decks were built by Nautec Yachts for first owner Geoff Bagge and the two other initial owners. Her decks were the first from the mould (taken from Not Guilty) and Geoff had to wait some time after receiving the hull. Geoff fitted a typical kiwi cruiser/racer lay

  3. Don't use bolts or screws, that's where the leaks start. Modern glues is all you need. Search the forums on here, lots of talk about this

  4. How much overlap have you got? ie from the inside of the cutout in the cabin side to the outside of the window pane? If you have 20-25 mm, then the best way seems to be to use glazing tape around the cabin side to hold the window on. Then, mask carefully level with the outside of the window, then fill the gap between the glazing tape edge and the top[outside] of the window - hope that is clear. The glazing tape not only holds the window on firmly, it provides a 5mm gap for the adhesive sealant. There appear to be plenty of different sealants about which would work, but the only one I have
