  1. Is that the water mixer spur on the left? If so, its likely some thermal stress as well. I had a new one made by a guy in Waiuku - great work, nice bloke, not cheap or expensive.   5. Get in quick! There's just one ticket left for Saturday! And 180 for Sunday. The ticket cost goes towards the grandstands, buses in from Christchurch city, big screens, entertainment, security, traffic management, toilets and heaps of other stuff. Or you're very welcome to watch for free up in the hills or at other places around the harbour that won't have all that other infrastructure of the fan village.

  6. dont comment much these days. They have banned scallop taking, except an area only commercial can get to and I gather maybe a major hatching area. Go figure. I think the take should be reduced, who the hell needs 7 snapper? I also think that commercial should be excluded from a very large portion of the gulf. The implied value to individuals of recreational fishing is massive compared to the commercial value. Just think about it. 50 to 100 litres of petrol to get at max 7 snapper! But people do it because they enjoy it. So cut the take. Increase the habitat. The crew looking
