  1. That's great, thanks Booboo. Gives me a great place to start. Like the two part design too. Did it bring a tear to your eye to take a chainsaw to her?
  2. Cant find the post, but PM'd Booboo, cheers
  3. I'm going to give it a go. Hope it's not too much of a major, so asking for advice. Has any one made one? SF is a bit of an older boat, GOP, and I'm thinking a duck board off the stern would be an improvement. Was thinking initially of teak.... yeah, right, until I looked at the cost. So, is there any other materials, ie glass over say 20mm marine ply, or something else I can look at. Solid or cross hatche'd?. I have a transom hung rudder, so a cut out for the swing of that is required. Pleased to have any feedback.

    New Sails

Very good question. Thinking along the same lines. Have looked locally, and seen some prices, then looked off shore and seen a little over half price, delivered, Inc tax. Love to buy local but the 'ole buck' talks.
  9. Shouldn't that have a bolt rope?
  10. Thanks wheels. It wouldn't have anything to do with the boom track being attached with stainless Screws? There were nylon collars but the ss screws go into the mast itself.
  11. Ali mast, keel stepped on to an ali plate on keel. Looks like electrolysis on base plate. White powdery stuff with pitting on the base plate. Any ideas why? Do I need to run an anode from the base plate into the bilge?
  12. Try Firecorp, Neilson rd. They have signage with a gas bottle on it.
  13. Rawhide... going back to the issue of finding one, I got a short fat bottle from a place on Neilson Street near the end, close to Mt Smart. Can't recall the name of the company. Try Google Earth?

    New dodger

Yup, exactly what I did. Unpicked, cut and restitched on my own industrial machine. When I got the holes punched... don't use any ones from hardware store get them from a marine upholsterers... the guy ran his machine around a few edges of mine but worked well. Have even had to replace a side on occasion thru wear and tear.
  15. Yep, what Harrytom said. Take your measurements off the existing. Can't go too wrong with that. I have a further questions though. My existing main which was probably second hand off the Ark has slides along the foot. Is that the superceded by loose footed mains now?. Are they all loose footed, or is that mainly for say Racing?

    Interior Paint?

I'm thinking that rolling the lining would be better than spraying. Thoughts on this?

    Interior Paint?

Good question. Can't answer, but interested to learn of suitable paint to cover vynyl headlining.
