  1. This is a standard GBE, albeit with a masthead gennaker. Us on Dire Straits during Auckland Anniversary regatta. Dire Straits is now in Brittany.
  2. Shamelessly borrowed from http://www.tennantdesign.co.nz/index.php?page=red-shift This particular one was built by Johnny T
  3. Energizer is definitely a Tennant design, most likely a Redshift 10m, see below. Exodus is a Ron Given design 10m How about posting a few pics of your boat sailing.
  4. Exodus, taken from onboard Sundreamer during a Coastal Classic, somewhere off the northland coast.
  5. Here you go Ken, this is the very first Voom sail as taken from Hard Drive ...and getting ready to put this hull onto the trailer to take it to Hobsonville Air Force Yacht Club where we put it all together
  6. Formula 40, I've got heaps of this one!!
  7. Have you got entry details and finish times etc from all of the multihulls in all of the Coastals - that would be cool to see.
  8. Here's a couple specially for TC
  9. and then there is of course Stenlager 1
  10. Stealing an idea from another site I thought it would be cool to have somewhere for everyone post some pics of the NZMYC multihull history. I thought Split Enz was an appropriate first candidate, excuse the quality its been pinned to the office wall for a bit too long. Ive got plenty more, what else is out there??
  11. There is another cable running across the river another 3/4 of a mile or so up stream of the one on your pic Freeeeeeeeeeeeeedom, Ken is still trying to see who is responsible for it. Sadly it looks like Vb won't fit so will have to hook a ride with someone else.
  12. was that something you weren't supposed to share?
  13. Id be up for that, a cruise up to home waters. Need to check out the power line clearance on the lines from around the Huapai Golf club area to the other side, maybe Clipper can give us this info, he's in that business.
  14. "After you have learnt the procedure with the first half hull, each half takes a couple of days. Of this time, only 40 minutes per infusion involves resin, and after the resin is mixed, you don't come in contact with it again until it is cured. Assembling the halves, including installing the bulkheads is another day's work. A light sand and they are ready to paint. The weight, cost and time savings are appreciable." Nice beam, wouldn't mind a flash new front beam like that for the VB. Admire the work Rob, but having heard the kind of statement above a lot of times and seen a lot of boats

See, cruising such a pedigree race boat like the mighty Timberwolf is easy, dry and comfortable provided there are enough boats around you to carry extra beer, wine, steak, chips, water, roof, galley, bunk, toilet, anchor etc etc. And a huge time was had by all!
  17. Very well done, the Public Image looking awesome in its third incarnation, do they know they even have a soundtrack that lots of people heard, over and over and over and over on a continuous loop tape heres a pic from one of the very first races we ever completed, it used to break heaps of stuff and earned the nickname public damage
  18. Yes folks after it was found by Crew forumites up near Hearald Island earlier in the year Cabernet is missing again, but this time the owner is unsure exactly when it was taken from the Greenhite area. It has been moved without permission and it is suspected the owners ex is up to no good with it so please keep you eyes out for Cabernet, its a Ron Given cat as pictured sail No 7404 If you see this boat call Alan Vickers 021 051 3040 or (09) 5333790 He has contacted the police and harbour master.

A few corrections there Motor boy if you talk to Bruce he will maintain HD has only been flipped 1 1/2 times because the second time it didnt go all the way over! Im pretty sure Te Kooti has been upside down twice and the mystery GBE that managed the very difficult task of two capsizes in one day was Sublime (now Pussycat). Also add to that list Ocean Pacific and Freedom.
