  1. The logical solution is to just prop the gate open...big improvement in security there eh?
  2. Yep, 3 yrs on and my Yammy has been faultless. Run dry after each outing (which is quite regular) and serviced annually. Never fresh water flushed. Had to poke a bit of wire up the water outlet as it had salted up a bit once a year ago. Would never go back. Actually feel a bit stupid for going there in the first place.

    SSANZ 100

Report from The Entertainer: Our race lasted about half an hour give or take. We hoisted our MH Spin at the start on port and snuck out from under an 88. We had great pace and were sitting pretty in the front bunch when we looked back to see the general carnage coming down the harbour towards us. Colin looked at me and said "whatdya think", I said "I reckon we'll be able to ride it out" which in hindsight was probably a bit optimistic. The squall hit a bit faster than I thought it would and she went down like devine brown. I should add we've had her out in much worse conditions, in worse s

    Keel upgrade

I did the keel of The Entertainer recently and it made a huge difference (given my sailing hasn't really improved). Do not underestimate what it will cost. I didn't cut corners (I didn't do any of the work myself) and put in completely new floors which tie into a partial ring frame which has also made it possible to carry alot more rig tension. I just used a top plate (recessed flush with the hull) on the can bolted through to big washers in the floors and there is absolutely no movement. Mike Rees (Rees Castings) helped heaps and did a great job on the bulb and can, talk to Mike if you want a

  7. Don't worry, read NOR now!
  8. p.s. Are we gonna need a dinghy??
  9. There could be a handful of 930's battling out there as well. I'm going to enter The Entertainer today and provision the rum locker
  10. Dambo there are a couple of nice ones for sale at the moment...
  11. I bought a 9.8 2 stroke Parsun for my 930. It ran sweet for 4 months and died with the family out at Rangi. I took it back and it took a couple of weeks to sort out what was wrong (don't ask me I'm not a motor type of guy). Ran sweet for another 3-4 months and died again. I took it back to the dealer and said get rid of it I don't want it which he did and I have since bought a yammy and very happy. Just my isolated experience, but not a good one.
  12. Finally got TE back in the water after two weeks of love, which has left my right (sanding) shoulder absolutely f*#ked New graphics very pleased with, new smooth bum, no more sloppy rudder, secure pullpit. Job list now only half as long... Cheers
