  5. I'm sure all MDF's, plus displays like the Garmin GMI 20, B&G Triton will display any N2k inputs from units like that. The Actisense is another nice unit.

    iPads nav

I use the Garmin Bluecharts on a iPad mini (with 3G) so it has the GPS chip, works well as a supplement or backup. The screen is larger than the handheld so it's pleasant in that respect. It's a very useful aid and has worked well on Coastal and Auck to Tga type events. As IT points out there are potential shortfalls, however there are advantages too.
  7. Thanks Wheels, that's what I thought too, evidently there are pressure and flow ranges, straight through and right angle models ete etc. My existing (now broken one) is a long way from the BBQ spec. Does it matter for stove etc if the pressure is 'high' ?
  8. Hi Looking for what I take to be a model 7020 regulator. Who supplies such. Thanks Tried to add pictures but doesn't seam to work.
  9. Check with the NZ Trailer Yacht Assoc, they may have a contact. www.nztya.nz
  10. Hi Kevin, Yes we chartered one in the Whitsundays, we now own a Farr 940 ! I ha e seen one for sale in Auckland for $120k a few years ago.
  11. The Catalina 320 has a useful solution to this problem. They have two lift out panels that opens up about 70% of the bulkhead. Have a look here; http://www.sailboatlistings.com/view/13851#
  12. Yes; Maritime NZ has one rule Yachting Nz has some too Each Regional Council has its own 'harbour regs' too, same agree, many don't.
  13. Looks to have lost forestay as well; http://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=11765310
  14. Quick question; is there any reason one can not install the flush mount deck fitting for a water tank or fuel tank above the oil filler on ones motor. It should be water proof. My oil filler has about 80 mm, space above it, but is back about 0.8m from the front, or 0.5m from the side access. Not easy for getting the new oil in. The idea is remove bung and insert funnel an pour in oil ?

  21. Only a few days to go now, looks like there will be breeze and the rain will have passed. Entries Are rolling in daily now. Look forward to seeing you all ......
  22. Thanks Erice I was after samples of the stuff near Minerva (or reports if people are seeing it)..... great offer all the same. If they are white I'd guess Taupo, if they are light grey then they would be from the Kermadecs. Rangitoto did't produce large pumice, mostly scoria and very little would have floated. it would be black or red as well. Cheers
  23. Hi We have sightings and satellite images of a pumice raft west of Minerva Reef area, see this link: http://info.geonet.org.nz/display/volc/2016/11/21/Pumice+raft+reported+west+of+Minerva+Reef If anyone knows of boats in that area that have encounters I'd appreciate hearing about it. Even better if they could scoop up a couple of pieces. Thanks
