  1. Addem, Id suggest looking to recalc the speedo and would also suggest you probably went a bit faster than that.

One of my crew during a coastal several years ago hit over 17 knots and then decided it was logging to fast, so reduced the calibration off Sail Rock, which meant even though we went faster a bit later on, nobody broke his record...and we never got around to recalibrating.

That does sound like good times!

  2. I would thought that the development we hade made with foiling , and winning the cup after years of trying and millions later we would keep that development going .but no we go back to mono hull , , until we loose it again then back to cats . only 32 months to go , we have to design a boat ,build it and try it , then train up some sailors to sail it , then spend millions on a place to have it and others ,then hope the competition offer to challenge it ,government don't want a bar of it or English can't see it as being any good and won't open the cheque book up , , Blake tried to make it an even event , the winner makes the rules that's where it is , it needs a set of rules the deed of gift ,and the original winner yacht club to hold the rules , and not allow winners to change the cup to suit them selves ,it was a race with mono hull boats with certain size measurements , stick to it ,

    Yawn

  3. Id suggest you get on facebook then, if only for this event, if you can use a tracker then you can use facebook, simply like this 1 page and be done with it.

Coverage was fine, live starts, updates...

If you dont like that answer, then dont complain about sh*t coverage, cause it was all there....having yer head on the sand b/c you dont like social media or whatever is irrelevant. This is where it is heading, whether you like it or not.

    Same for Transpac.

  4. Bazza, make sure you use the anode attached to the engine that goes over the side.

When I put that system in it started burning through the anode on the leg. The sparky thought I may have been earthing the whole pier.

Was the simplest system they thought that would be covered by the regs when they installed it, but they did say that they couldnt figure out the regs themselves and that was the best option
