Not often, in fact not sure if I ever even have, bagged a company for terrible customer service, but this one takes the cake, beats even my experience with North Shore Refrigeration a few years ago. In early January the Raymarine chart plotter on Pork Chop died. The unit was installed professionally by a resupplier about a year earlier, maybe a little more. (This unit replaced a Navman unit that had been in use the previous 11 years.) Once back in Auckland I got the resupplier to have a look at the unit, who found it to have water damage, unit was removed from the boat and sent back to Lus

Little birdy tells me Vodafone has gone over. They weren't aware there was a new boat but they said it was def Vodafone.... So that didn't take long... hope they come out ok as I was told they are really struggling to right it, mast looks to be on bottom and now a chopper has turned up...and looks to be taking photos

Great snaps John, saw a boat nestled in there....by jingo looking at that we should have peeled down to the 2 a lot sooner.... -

Absolutely agree the more water you give them the more they use. I carried only a few 5lt bottles of water the first 5 years on PC, then put in tanks carrying around 300lt, and a hot shower.... guess which last longer? To be fair though I did add a wife and two kids over that time. I now carry 600lt on the raft and it goes in the same time again. Damon has done a great job on the solar on Motorboat, just remember, you cant drink salt ice..... -
See if you can track down Jamie Logan from Custom Marine. Ive used him and his lad Josh to service and repair (including parts) my winches for years... do a great job

A third bigger and carries a whole 100% less rail. Given Labour bought the rail dog for 820 mil of our money, gave away the profitable road freight side for free and we drop a further 2 hundy a year into it keeping it on life support, what a great purchase this boat is... no rail siding. Also leaves only 2 ILL boats in service that can carry trucks at max legal height. No wonder Straitsman are running rings around them. That said, am sad to see this workhorse go... travelled on her dozens of times....personally I think it was the last smart purchase the railway ever made

I was tucked up in Calypso Bay and couldnt believe my eyes. I figured Copelia and then Gale Force were just having a warmup for the 200 this weekend, but no, the boats kept coming. Everyone looked to do really well coming around and changing to upwind mode..bar Rock Lobster is looked to be heading to the Cellar Door in Man O War Bay for a while...which we all agreed in board was a very good option given the conditions. Was impressive to see given the sea state and weather, so well done all of you that competed

Yea I guess the point I was trying to make as not many people have come thru the ranks and bought, or even upgraded their boats in the racing scene in quite some time...certainly not in the space wehre the boat are used for dual purpose

If it was hours or nautical miles it easily would be cruising. I answered the former, but a marginal call. What is interesting is how boats, or at least their owners, don't seem to be able to do both in the same boat so much. Much of the fleet seems to be in one corner or the other I think. Which is a pit

Thats ridiculous... Can someone please explain to me why each boat has to provide its own hose? And what does the user Association say? I havent seen any correspondence on that. I suppose that includes X pier as well? Ive taken a wait and see approach with Westhaven for last while, I can see there is some tricky stuff in play, but taking away the hoses to me smacks backroom bureaucracy by some clueless twit….not people dedicated to looking after our marina. Come on team…..
