Rich guy puts weight behind anti-Waiheke Marina movement

OK thanks for that. That one in Woody is a complete ball ache. Ive seen people tie to it claiming to be the owner, on 2 very different boats, and Ive seen words exchanged between boats in regards to it.... how are supposed to know who owns it...? I think they should remove it, it chews up a large amount of space in a very small bay which is popular in ever increasing wind condition -

You can get a tender reasonably close to Kaeo on a full tide

They all arrived in Vivian Bay, had a beer then shot off. Dean beat Moose and Brad Marsh to the beach With 2 of the 3 people I saw racing in to the bay, an arms races is inevitable, they just cant help themselves those boys

I raced Namu for years on RnB.... we would cream it downwind then have to fight very hard to keep it at bay on the beat home... we won prob half the time

Orakei have infomed boats there that Tamaki Drive will be closed as well during racing.... unbelievable, wtf you going to see from there?

Ive followed this from time to time... being the armchair expert that I am, I have always been surprised they couldn't right her and carry on. Its a pretty new PCC and I would have taken that pretty personally if she was my ship. These boats are alot more technical than you think.

My aunt had a boat up the Tamaki for a few years called Cirrhosis of the River

Ok I stand corrected, I did that one but thought it was 200... to much grey matter these days
-
Fish the most I have ever seen was once 200 boats, its usually around the 170-185 mark... and the Sunday prize giving was fail, most people were well on heir way home by the time it started...which doesnt give the sponsors much to crow about...

Lack of wind at Easter and that is normally the TGA race. IMHO its fine right where it is.. I note those with the most opinion here about lack of coverage and why they didnt have up to date notifications on this that and the other didnt race... The race was the hardest coastal Ive done in 19..the event was one of the best and I was well impressed with how many people managed to jump in cars, who motor in for the the Satuday might. Kudos to all of them

From a competitor perspective is was a very well run event. Pre organisation was good and from the minute we got to Russell it was superb. Prize giving was seamless and the after match was awesome...cant fault it. So well done NZMYC
