We headed to sea for the first 2.5 weeks for the lockdown and stayed at either end of Onetangi for the whole time. I spent several weeks prepping the boat just in case and took the view they had not said no to boating. The boat is designed for live aboard and had sailed here from France. Ironically, our sewage system at home failed on last day home and we had no wastewater. There were about a dozen boats to start, some headed to Barrier, others melted away as food and water ran out over the 20 days we were out The first 10 days were fine, you could walk on Onetangi beach and the loca

Hi sorry for that, not sure what happened but there is the pic, now sideways....

Feel free to ring this servant of the community... We turned up and went and bought a bag, put out black bag in it and added to the pile. There was this big flash sign and then a huge pile of rubbish dumped where the recycling bins were. I had to laugh at the $400 fine if you dump rubbish sign where the bins used to be. I sat there and ate my burger whilst the pile got bigger and bigger, half the folk coming in were not boaties but locals, some by car and they were not happy Every local I spoke to was seething at the fact a pencil pushing idiot in a windowless room back in the city had

We were one of those boats. We sailed no further in than we have in the last 20 years. We werent even hugging the wall at all as we were in a tacking duel with another boat. We tacked JUST inside Princess wharf where you enter the Viaduct after crossing from Stanely Point. A committee boat came near us and gave us a thumbs down but we couldnt hear what they were saying and only found out the next day we were under protest. Protest was withdrawn.

That report was stacked with NorthPort hacks, cronies and people who stand to make bucket loads of cash. It was never not going to recommend anything other than moving North. It is a complete waste of time and money when the result was a foregone conclusion. If it moves great, I can retire, but this decision is political and is devoid an any economic reasoning and commonsense. Im not quite sure how it all fits in with labours hatred of the holiday highway, as the two are barometrically opposed. This is politics at its absolute worst, actually the longer I take to type type, th
