Yeah, I read that review too and I couldn't tell if it was the same designer or not. As you said, very different boats!

Hi, We are looking at purchasing a Roper 33, however I can find very little information about these boats. This would be our first boat and we plan to continue to learn to sail on it and then eventually hope to take it further afield. I am wondering if anyone has experience with these boats, are they good boats, any known issues, are they blue water capable? Any information would be super helpful. Thanks. Edit
