I'm wondering how effective the 15mm collapsible / sectional tent poles would be?   Especially if applied to a 3 metre wide boom tent.

They looks to be available at Mitre 10 and Marine Deals (in a week or two)

Depends on how heavy your boom tent is, we have sunbrella material and very heavy duty and requires big batterns, no way would tent poles work for this

  2. Looks like it might have had the latex primer which fails over time due to UV.

as someone who previously managed a boat painting company, a lot of your questions depend on your chosen paint system as can vary quite a bit. Do you have a system in mind?

  3. ‘No business was found whom could operate the hardstand feasibly for 6months of the year, so we have decided to keep it as a carpark all year round for RAYC users’

Can see this coming very quickly. Costs too much to train staff, own equipment etc for 6 months per year in a commercial environment

  4. New Zealand doesn't have the resources in place for enforcing compliance, the Waikato Harbour master must be dreaming if his small team could be out enforcing licensing as well. NSW has 16 maritime boats on Sydney Harbour alone!

Auckland harbour master is lucky to have one boat on the water on a Sunday

Anyone know what’s happening with the E7s when the new ones arrive ?  Asking for a friend . It would be unfortunate if they end up in Aussie where they already have a heap of them .

They are for sale as a group lot I believe.

    Even worse, infrastructure getting removed!

Part of the problem is boat owners wanting to do maintenance in a few months only (Sept-Dec) I know currently every yard in Auckland would book you in for next week if you wanted to come out

  7. Currently in a partnership in a 9m yacht. 2 owners, one does all the maintenance, the other pays 1/2 the bills but rarely uses the boat. Currently considering a change of boat to something bigger but would want both owners to do equal maintenance going forward. Can be trying at times but generally works pretty well

And of course the closure of the Pier 21 hardstand at a very similar time -a Spencer family controlled lease......

Pier 21 was closed after the property lease got sold, the Winton group closed down the yard

  9. Like new code zero, used three times only, max 1.5hours total use in light winds. Only selling as was a bit short for our boat.

    Leech 8.90m Luff 9.90m Foot 5.80m

Includes bag, cable installed but no furler or head swivel

    Awesome event. Shithouse organisers.

All boats should, as a condition of entry, have to stay in the water for 8 weeks prior to start without being hauled and /or cleaned in any fashion.

Even if I could I would not enter or support the organiser by entering.

    What's your justification for this?
