  1. Well worth a read akin to a Shakespearean tragedy. https://www.noted.co.nz/currently/currently-crime/the-full-interview-gerald-hope-and-scott-watson
  2. The tiger blanket hairs linked to Olivia found weeks later after an initial forensic inspection have a lot in common with the Hutton & Johnstone planted shell casing belated found four months later that screwed Arthur Alan Thomas. Be your worst nightmare banged up for 20 years for a crime you never committed and this case along with others lays great weight for the urgent the need for an independent legal mechanism than can test for injustices prosecuted by the state although now far to late for Peter Ellis.

  4. Procurement has long been a joke and not only for the navy. These go nowhere. RNNZ Canterbury the replacement for the roll on roll off lemon has a long history of faults. Can’t get link to work but from Janes a lengthy tale of inadequate initial design to repeated repairs and upgrades and the Airforce can’t even land it’s helicopters whilst underway.
  5. Well we could have followed the Swedish model and then you would really have something to moan about. Crikey this is a unique set of circumstances and everybody is learning from their mistakes what else can we ask for life is perfectible. What robust sustainable strategies that rock out from this chaos will stand the nation in good stead when this inevitably happens again in the future.
  6. Pretty hard to not buy Chinese anything these days but well worth the effort to make the effort. 1 million Uighurs locked in re-education camps is my start point when I am looking for a new piece of kit.
  7. You get what you pay for. What’s the price difference between Eberspacher and a knock off Chinese equivalent $1000 or so there is a glaring answer to that price gap durability reliability and warranty comes to mind. Noiseyness comes free with the cost saving alternatives.
  8. Scott’s tragedy pales in comparison for me with Shackleton. Shackleton never lost a man whilst Scott and his crew perished. Although different circumstances prevailed discretion is the better part of valour.
  9. Having arrived at South Georgia the crew then had to traverse this to get to Stromness.
  10. Crikey makes you wonder why BP squandered 2k and four days plus countless hole saws when the obvious answer to central heating was laying next to him.
  11. Amazing how many BTU’s a cuddle can generate for free.
  12. Hah Fish just tricking. Crikey the worlds a strange place never more so than now. Walking down the Crew.org editorial censorship memory lane I can remember many moons ago when Zoe wielded the hammer of exclusion when I outed the cowboy hat wearing Westhaven manger for covertly filming staff. Zoe cited a conflict of interest with her landlord if remember correctly.
  13. Ok Matt got the email but seriously you have to let the conversation run regarding Rehab as we are apart from one all adults here. I won’t be back providing a platform for toxic waste comes to mind but hey it’s your show.
  14. The correct spelling is Beale.
  15. My accountant calls them units. $500,000 cost per head minimum crikey I could have brought Dynamite four times over.
  16. Follow Wheels advice. https://www.sailingscuttlebutt.com/2020/01/09/designer-clarifies-cause-of-keel-failure/
  17. Make that 3rds Pretty impressive well sorted boat and a cracker sailer. Not some tubby fat arsed overweight eyesore that’s for sure.

  19. I think you will find Pete Russell and Dennis held the rank of skipper. Ben has not skippered a AC winner nor defender. If Prada build a boat that can stay together and win the AC Jimmy will join Russel Dennis and Charlie in the Skippered 3 club well before Ben gets to chalk up a single win.
  20. At 29 Pistol Pete has potentially 4 more AC campaigns ahead of him which would age him @ 46 compared to Ainslie who is presently 43. Adding to the chest of gold he has to date tucked under his bed another Olympic medal or two along with the Worlds and his total haul would give Long John Silver and his parrot a woody. Sale NZ your assumption the only Ainslie can push Coutts off his perch is as usual pretty damned laughable. Bubble on.
